4th of July weekend

We had a fun and busy Fourth of July weekend. Saturday morning we packed up and headed to Nauvoo to go camping. Our boys love Nauvoo. Last time we went Luke said he wanted to move there. We had lots of fun. They also love camping, so combine the two and it is guaranteed fun!
They had a blast playing in the lake near our campsite. Isaac "fished." He caught a lot of moss.
Tyler taught Luke how to skip rocks. There was a slight incident where Tyler skipped a rock into the side of Luke's face. No major harm done though.

In Nauvoo Pioneer pastimes is a favorite with the boys.
Luke did pretty good trying out the slits.
Andrew had fun watching.
And Isaac was in heaven playing cowboys. In his boots. In a real "cowboy house."

The biggest challenge was keeping Andrew from eating EVERYTHING on the ground.
At our campsite he pretty much had to stay in here or someones arms. Otherwise his mouth would have been full of dirt, pine needles, ants, ashes, and leaves.
He liked it though. :)
We saw this on our way to church on Sunday. Tyler had to stop for a picture. He wants one of these someday.
The silly picture in front of the temple turned out way better than the normal one.
I can't wait to take this little guy to the temple to have him sealed to us!

We drove home Sunday night. On the 4th we had a picnic and rode bikes in the park.
Then that night we had some friends over for yummy food and fireworks.

This next picture isn't the best...I am still figuring out my camera, but I love how you can see more than one shot coming out of the torch.

Overall it was a very fun 4th of July weekend. I am very grateful for this country, the freedom we enjoy, and those that make it possible.
